See below for the letter that went home with your K-plus kiddo yesterday.  It's just a friendly reminder to pack nut-safe snacks for your child each day.  Peanuts and nuts for LUNCH are okay, as we have a dedicated allergy-free area for our students. Thank you for your help keeping all of our students safe! September 4, 2019 Dear Families, We are writing this letter to remind you that some of the children in our class have severe, life-threatening food allergies. These students are allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and strict avoidance of the allergen is the only way to prevent an allergic reaction. It is important that we create a safe learning environment for all students. Moreover, in order for all students to participate in class activities, we ask that you avoid sending in snack foods that contain peanuts or tree nuts or include “made in a factory or on equipment with…” in their ingredient label.
